Amazon EKS enhances Kubernetes control plane monitoring

Amazon EKS has introduced enhanced Kubernetes control plane monitoring capabilities, offering improved visibility and troubleshooting for cluster administrators.
- New intuitive dashboards in the EKS console for automatic visualization of control plane metrics
- Available for EKS clusters running Kubernetes version 1.28 and above
- Expanded metrics now include kube-scheduler and kube-controller-manager, in addition to existing API server metrics
- Integration with Amazon CloudWatch Log Insights for surfacing critical log insights
- Metrics can be viewed in Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus, or third-party monitoring tools
- Feature available at no additional charge in all AWS commercial and GovCloud regions
