Amazon EKS now supports configuring advanced Kubernetes control plane parameters for the scheduler, controller manager, and API server to optimize cluster performance.
- Tune pod placement strategies to improve resource utilization and node density
- Adjust horizontal pod autoscaling response times to demand changes
- Configure resource lifecycle parameters like event retention duration
- Set scheduler's node resource fit strategy to MostAllocated or LeastAllocated
- Available in all AWS Regions where Amazon EKS is available
