Amazon CloudFront now supports additional log formats and destinations for access logs
News
Amazon CloudFront has enhanced its access logging capabilities with several new features and delivery options:
- New log delivery destinations: CloudWatch Logs and Amazon Data Firehose
- Expanded log output formats including JSON and Apache Parquet
- Automatic log partitioning for S3 delivery
- Ability to select and order specific log fields
- Free 750 bytes of logs per CloudFront request when delivered to CloudWatch Logs
These improvements eliminate the need for custom log processing and provide native log configuration options, making it easier for customers to manage and analyze CloudFront access logs across different services.
