Amazon CloudWatch Logs announces field indexes and enhanced log group selection in Logs Insights

Amazon CloudWatch Logs has introduced two significant enhancements to improve log analysis:
- Field Indexes: Allows indexing up to 20 critical log attributes per log group
- Indexed logs are searchable for up to 30 days
- Supports querying up to 10,000 log groups across multiple accounts
- Faster query execution using "*filter field = value*" syntax
- New "*filterIndex*" command to optimize query performance and costs
These features enable faster troubleshooting, trend identification, and more efficient log analysis across large log sets. Field indexes are available in all AWS Regions at no additional cost and can be configured via console, API, or CLI.
