Amazon CloudWatch Synthetics now offers automatic deletion of Lambda resources associated with canaries, streamlining resource management for users.
- Canaries created via AWS console will automatically clean up related Lambda resources
- New canaries created through CLI/SDK or CloudFormation will automatically opt into this feature
- Existing canaries require explicit opt-in for automatic resource deletion
