Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL has released support for new minor versions across multiple PostgreSQL releases:
- Supported minor versions: 17.2, 16.6, 15.10, 14.15, 13.18, and 12.22
- Recommended upgrade to address security vulnerabilities and benefit from bug fixes
- Customers can leverage automatic minor version upgrades during maintenance windows
- Important note: Starting with PostgreSQL version 18, plcoffee and plls extensions will be deprecated
The update allows users to easily upgrade and maintain their PostgreSQL databases in the AWS cloud, with improved security and performance across different PostgreSQL versions.
