Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL supports minor versions 17.4, 16.8, 15.12, 14.17, 13.20

Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL has announced support for the latest minor PostgreSQL versions:

  • Version 17.4
  • Version 16.8
  • Version 15.12
  • Version 14.17
  • Version 13.20

These versions address a regression from the February 13, 2025 release and include important security fixes. AWS recommends upgrading to address vulnerabilities and benefit from community bug fixes.

Customers can upgrade using automatic minor version upgrades or Amazon RDS Blue/Green deployments during scheduled maintenance windows.
