AWS DMS now delivers improved performance for data validation

AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS) has improved data validation performance in version 3.5.4 of its replication engine, enabling faster processing of large datasets during migrations.

  • Enhanced performance applies to full load and full load with CDC migration tasks
  • Currently supports migration paths between:
    • Oracle to PostgreSQL
    • SQL Server to PostgreSQL
    • Oracle to Oracle
    • SQL Server to SQL Server
  • Additional migration paths are planned for future releases

The improvement allows customers to validate large datasets more efficiently during database migrations, reducing processing time and complexity.
