News

Amazon EC2 has introduced a new feature for managing On-Demand Capacity Reservations (ODCRs) that provides more control over instance launches:

  • Customers can now specify launches only on targeted or open Capacity Reservations
  • Applicable to RunInstances EC2 API, Launch Templates, and Auto-Scaling Groups
  • Helps customers better utilize reserved compute capacity in specific Availability Zones
  • Available in all AWS Regions except China regions
  • Enables more precise control over compute resource allocation
