AWS has announced the general availability of the AWS User Notifications SDK, a new service that enables programmatic configuration and management of notifications across AWS services.
- Allows automated creation of notification configurations for events like AWS Health, EC2 instance state changes, and CloudWatch Alarms
- Supports multiple notification channels including email, AWS Chatbot (Microsoft Teams/Slack), and AWS Console Mobile App push notifications
- Enables granular notification setup, such as alerts for specific tagged EC2 instances in particular regions
- Can be used by Cloud Centers of Excellence to set up notifications across multiple accounts
- Offered at no additional cost
The SDK simplifies notification management by allowing users to configure alerts programmatically without accessing the Management Console.
