Announcing AWS User Notifications GA on AWS CloudFormation

AWS has announced the general availability of AWS User Notifications integration with AWS CloudFormation, enabling users to manage notification resources as part of infrastructure-as-code (IaC).

• Users can configure notifications via Console Notifications Center, email, AWS Chatbot, and mobile push notifications
• Notifications can be triggered by events like CloudWatch Alarms, Auto Scaling group changes, ELB provisioning, and RDS database modifications
• Notification configurations can be defined directly within CloudFormation templates
• New resource types include AWS::Notifications::NotificationConfiguration and AWS::Notifications::NotificationContacts
• Simplifies cloud operations by consolidating monitoring configuration in infrastructure code

This integration provides granular control over event notifications and their delivery channels, streamlining cloud infrastructure management.
