AWS Lambda adds support for Node.js 22

AWS Lambda has added support for Node.js 22, the latest long-term support (LTS) release of Node.js, offering developers new capabilities for serverless applications.
- Node.js 22 is available as a managed runtime and container base image
- Will be supported for security and bug fixes until April 2027
- Provides access to latest Node.js features like the 'fetch' API
- Compatible with Lambda@Edge for CloudFront content customization
- Supported in all Lambda regions, including China and AWS GovCloud
Developers can use existing AWS deployment tools like Lambda console, AWS CLI, SAM, CDK, and CloudFormation to work with Node.js 22 runtime.
