AWS PrivateLink now supports cross-region connectivity

News

AWS has expanded PrivateLink capabilities with native cross-region connectivity for Interface VPC endpoints, enabling new networking options for service providers and consumers.

  • Service providers can now enable access to VPCE services across all AWS Regions without additional infrastructure
  • Service consumers can connect to VPCE services in other regions privately using Interface endpoints
  • Connectivity occurs through private IP addresses within a VPC, enhancing security and simplicity
  • Available in regions including US East, US West, Europe, Asia Pacific, and South America
  • Eliminates the need for cross-region peering or public internet exposure

This update significantly improves inter-region connectivity by providing a more secure and streamlined approach to accessing VPC endpoint services across different regions.
