Amazon S3 launches storage classes for AWS Dedicated Local Zones

Amazon S3 has expanded its storage capabilities for AWS Dedicated Local Zones by introducing two new storage classes:

  • S3 Express One Zone storage class
  • S3 One Zone-Infrequent Access storage class

Key highlights of this launch include:

  • Fully managed AWS infrastructure in a location specified by the customer
  • Supports data isolation and data residency requirements
  • Designed to help customers comply with regulatory guidelines
  • Purpose-built for storing data within a specific data perimeter

This enhancement provides customers with more flexible and compliant storage options in Dedicated Local Zones.
