AWS has announced Satellite Resiliency for AWS Outposts, a new solution that enables cloud-connected edge computing in remote and geographically dispersed environments.
- Routes traffic over Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite connections when terrestrial network connectivity is unavailable
- Supports business continuity and data residency requirements for government and financial sectors
- Managed by AWS Partners including Accenture, Deloitte, Kyndryl, Andes, and TCS
- Provides smart network routing to select optimal satellite signal paths
- Enables AWS Cloud deployment in remote locations like mining facilities, islands, and disaster zones
The solution addresses connectivity challenges in remote environments, offering resilient cloud computing with continuous service availability.
