AWS Security Hub now supports PCI DSS v4.0.1 standard

AWS Security Hub has added support for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) v4.0.1, providing enhanced security compliance for organizations handling credit and debit card information.

  • Includes 144 automated security controls for continuous PCI DSS compliance checks
  • Available in all public AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions
  • Recommended to use Security Hub central configuration for easy standard enablement
  • Advises enabling v4.0.1 before disabling v3.2.1 to prevent security check gaps

The new standard helps organizations protect cardholder data environments and maintain robust security practices aligned with PCI DSS requirements.
