AWS Cloud Map now supports Service Level Attributes

News

AWS Cloud Map has introduced support for service-level attributes, allowing users to store and access information directly at the service level.

  • Enables storing custom attributes for cloud resources like ECS tasks, EC2 instances, and DynamoDB tables
  • Allows registering key-value attributes at the service level instead of instance level
  • Supports complex use cases such as traffic routing, timeout settings, and service coordination
  • Simplifies resource discovery and management by centralizing service-level information
  • Eliminates need for duplicating service information across multiple instances

This new feature provides more flexibility and efficiency in managing and discovering cloud resources through AWS Cloud Map.
