Application map is now generally available for Amazon CloudWatch

News

Amazon CloudWatch has launched Application Map, a new feature for monitoring distributed applications with automatic service discovery and organization.

  • Automatically discovers and groups services across AWS accounts and regions
  • Enables dynamic grouping by teams, business units, or criticality tiers
  • Provides visual mapping of service dependencies
  • Accelerates root cause analysis and reduces mean-time-to-resolution
  • Includes contextual troubleshooting drawer with metrics and insights
  • Dynamically updates as new services are discovered

The feature is now available in all AWS commercial regions where Application Signals have launched, at no additional cost, helping SRE and DevOps teams more effectively monitor and troubleshoot complex distributed applications.
