Amazon AppStream 2.0 has introduced support for Rocky Linux, expanding its operating system options for application and desktop streaming.
- Enables streaming from an RPM-compatible environment optimized for compute-intensive applications
- Provides flexibility to choose between Rocky Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Microsoft Windows
- Helps organizations accelerate time to market and scale resources dynamically
- Allows conversion of traditional desktop apps to SaaS delivery without refactoring
- Supports per-second billing with a 15-minute minimum across all AWS Regions
The new offering enables ISVs and IT organizations to leverage AWS Cloud's flexibility and cost-effectiveness while streaming Rocky Linux applications and desktops.
