Amazon S3 has introduced schema definition support for the CreateTable API, enabling users to programmatically create tables with pre-defined columns for data analytics applications.

  • Users can specify column names and data types using new request headers
  • Schema definition is possible through AWS CLI and AWS SDKs

  • Available in all AWS Regions that support S3 Tables
