AWS Elemental MediaTailor now supports Bring Your Own Ads (BYOA) via VAST responses, offering new flexibility for ad insertion.
- Enables customers to use pre-transcoded HLS and DASH packaged ads
- Ad decision servers can include manifest URLs directly in VAST XML
- Eliminates need for dynamic transcoding at ad insertion time
- Supports server-side overlay ads and quick ad creative insertion
- Feature can be enabled at the configuration level
- Supports both HLS and DASH streaming protocols
- Available in all regions where MediaTailor is supported
This enhancement provides more control and efficiency in ad management for streaming content.
