AWS Batch launches new features for access control and management of AWS Batch on EKS workloads

AWS Batch has launched new features for managing and controlling workloads on Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), enhancing job configuration and security capabilities.

  • Support for configurable Kubernetes namespaces to improve workload isolation
  • Ability to use Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs) for precise data access
  • Support for *subPath* in Kubernetes pod container volumes
  • Enable Kubernetes pod annotations for easier integration with external tools and AWS services
  • Features can be configured during job definition registration or job submission

These enhancements provide developers, scientists, and engineers more granular control and flexibility when running batch processing jobs for machine learning, simulations, and data analysis across AWS regions.
