CloudWatch Application Signals now supports Runtime Metrics for .NET Applications

AWS has announced general availability of runtime metrics for .NET applications in Amazon CloudWatch Application Signals, an OpenTelemetry-compatible application performance monitoring feature.
- Collect runtime metrics for .NET applications without source code changes
- Monitor resource consumption like memory and CPU usage in real-time
- Correlate runtime metrics with application metrics, traces, and logs
- Supports applications running on EKS, EC2, ECS, and on-premise servers
- Helps identify performance issues like garbage collection pauses and thread contention
Runtime metrics support is now available for Java, Python, and .NET applications across all regions where Application Signals is offered.
