Amazon CloudWatch Application Signals has expanded its monitoring capabilities by adding runtime metrics support for Java, Python, and .Net applications.
- Provides detailed runtime metrics like memory usage, garbage collection, and thread counts
- Offers unified monitoring by consolidating runtime metrics, application metrics, traces, and logs
- Can be enabled for applications on EKS, Kubernetes, ECS, EC2, Lambda, and custom platforms
- Automatically instruments applications to report real-time telemetry data
- Includes a "Top Contributors" feature to identify nodes/instances requiring investigation
This enhancement helps teams monitor application performance, quickly identify and resolve issues, and improve overall customer experience.
