AWS CodePipeline adds native Amazon EKS deployment support

News

AWS CodePipeline has added native Amazon EKS deployment support, enabling easier container application deployments to EKS clusters.

  • New action allows direct deployment to EKS clusters, including those in private VPCs
  • Previously required maintaining a separate compute environment in private networks
  • Now users can simply provide the EKS cluster name and add the action to their pipeline
  • Automatically establishes network connection for deployment without additional infrastructure
  • Available in most AWS regions, excluding GovCloud and China regions

This update significantly simplifies the EKS deployment process, reducing operational overhead for developers and streamlining container application delivery.
