Amazon RDS on AWS Outposts now supports Generation 7i instances for MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, expanding hybrid cloud capabilities for on-premises database management.
- Enables fully managed database deployment in on-premises environments
- Supports RDS for MySQL and PostgreSQL on Generation 7i instances
- Available in multiple regions across Asia Pacific, Canada, Europe, and US
- Allows setting up, operating, and scaling databases on-premises like in the cloud
- Part of AWS Outposts service that extends AWS infrastructure to various facilities
This update provides customers with more flexible and consistent hybrid cloud database management options.
