Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP has eliminated SnapLock licensing fees, making data protection more cost-effective for customers.
- Effective March 5, 2025, SnapLock volumes will no longer incur additional licensing charges
- SnapLock provides Write Once, Read Many (WORM) protection for business-critical data
- Prevents data alteration, deletion, and unauthorized modifications
- Helps customers meet regulatory compliance requirements
- Changes apply automatically to new and existing SnapLock volumes across all AWS Regions
