AWS End User Messaging has expanded its self-service phone number registration support to 18 new countries, improving developers' ability to configure SMS messaging for applications.
- New long code countries include Australia, Austria, Chile, Denmark, Finland, and more
- New short code countries include Chile, Finland, Germany, India, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, and United States
- Registration helps ensure compliance with local mobile carrier and government regulations
- Developers can now register phone numbers via AWS Management Console or APIs
- Goal is to improve message deliverability and prevent spam
The update allows developers to quickly onboard dedicated phone numbers and configure SMS messaging across a broader range of countries through a self-service process.
