Announcing the General Availability of the Amazon EventBridge Scheduler L2 Construct

DevOps & Developer Productivity Blog

AWS has announced the general availability of the Amazon EventBridge Scheduler Level 2 (L2) Constructs in the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), simplifying how developers schedule tasks and events at scale.

  • Provides higher-level abstractions for configuring EventBridge schedules, groups, and targets
  • Supports creating schedules using cron and rate expressions
  • Enables one-time and recurring event scheduling across AWS services
  • Automatically generates appropriate IAM permissions for targets
  • Supports templated and universal targets across 270+ AWS services

The new L2 constructs make it easier to configure schedules with simplified API design, default configurations, and built-in best practices for AWS infrastructure deployment.
