This article announces Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL-Compatible Edition now supports PostgreSQL versions 17.6, 16.10, 15.14, 14.19, and 13.22.

  • Dynamic Data Masking (DDM) protects sensitive data by masking column values at query time
  • DDM available for PostgreSQL 16.10 and 17.6 only
  • Includes shared plan cache for improved performance
  • Enhanced recovery-time-objective (RTO) and Global Database switchover improvements
  • Create new databases or upgrade existing ones via RDS Management Console
  • Available in all commercial AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud (US)

Aurora PostgreSQL now offers enhanced security and performance features with the latest PostgreSQL versions, including role-based data masking capabilities.
