AWS Batch now supports Amazon Elastic Container Service Exec and AWS FireLens log router

AWS Batch now supports two new features for improving job management and logging:

  • Amazon ECS Exec: Allows interactive troubleshooting and tracking of application progress within job containers
  • AWS FireLens log router: Enables streaming job logs to multiple destinations including:
    • Amazon CloudWatch
    • Amazon S3
    • Amazon OpenSearch Service
    • Amazon Redshift
    • Partner services like Splunk

Users can configure these features when registering new job definitions or revising existing ones. The features are supported in all AWS Regions where AWS Batch is available, providing enhanced observability and logging capabilities for batch processing jobs in machine learning, simulations, and data analysis.
