Amazon ECS adds the ability to set a default log driver blocking mode
News
Amazon ECS has introduced a new account setting called defaultLogDriverMode, which allows users to set a default log driver blocking mode for tasks in their account.
- Users can choose between "blocking" and "non-blocking" log driver modes
- Non-blocking mode allows applications to continue running if log routing fails
- Blocking mode prevents applications from running if logs cannot be routed
- The setting can be overridden in individual Task Definitions
- Available in all AWS Regions
This feature provides more granular control over logging behavior, helping organizations manage application availability and compliance requirements.
