Amazon MSK adds support for Apache Kafka version 3.9

Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK) has added support for Apache Kafka version 3.9, introducing key improvements for data management and storage.

  • Users can now retain tiered data when disabling Tiered Storage at the topic level
  • Consumer applications can read historical data from remote log start offset while maintaining continuous log offsets
  • Version includes various bug fixes and improvements
  • Support is available in all AWS regions where MSK is offered

This update enhances Amazon MSK's capabilities, providing more flexibility in data storage and management for Apache Kafka users.
