Amazon VPC Lattice now supports IPv6 for management endpoints

News

Amazon VPC Lattice now supports dual-stack IPv6 for management endpoints, offering enhanced networking capabilities:

  • Enables connections using IPv6, IPv4, or dual-stack clients
  • Supports dual-stack access through AWS PrivateLink
  • Provides new DNS domain name for dual-stack endpoints
  • Maintains existing endpoints for backwards compatibility
  • Facilitates gradual transition from IPv4 to IPv6 systems

This update allows developers to connect and manage service-to-service communication more flexibly, supporting cross-account and cross-VPC connectivity while meeting IPv6 compliance requirements.
