Amazon CloudWatch RUM has added support for Interaction to Next Paint (INP), a new web vital metric that measures page responsiveness to user interactions.
- INP tracks latency of clicks, taps, and keyboard interactions during a user's page visit
- Provides time series graph to assess page responsiveness
- Allows users to click on data points and investigate specific user sessions
- Requires upgrading aws-rum-web to v1.23.0 or higher
- Available in all AWS Regions at no additional cost
This enhancement helps developers better understand and improve user experience by providing detailed insights into web application interactivity and performance.
