News

Amazon Kinesis Data Streams has expanded its IPv6 support to include VPC endpoints across all AWS Regions, enabling customers to make API requests over IPv6 using dual-stack AWS PrivateLink interface endpoints.

  • Supports IPv6 connectivity for data-streaming workloads within VPCs
  • Available in commercial and AWS China regions
  • Dual-stack endpoints validated under FIPS 140-3 program
  • Addresses IPv4 address exhaustion challenges
  • Simplifies network management and reduces IPv4 to IPv6 translation complexity

The enhancement allows seamless integration of Kinesis Data Streams with IPv6-only networks, providing more flexible and future-proof networking options for organizations.
