AWS Organizations now supports Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6)

AWS Organizations has introduced support for Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), enabling customers to connect to the service using new dual-stack endpoints.

  • Customers can now use IPv6, IPv4, or dual-stack clients to connect to AWS Organizations
  • Existing IPv4 endpoints will remain available for backwards compatibility
  • Support is available in AWS Commercial Regions, AWS GovCloud (US) Regions, and China Regions
  • AWS recommends reviewing their whitepaper on IPv6 configuration best practices

This update provides more flexible networking options for AWS Organizations users, supporting modern network infrastructures that rely on IPv6.
