Amazon Aurora DSQL is now generally available

Amazon has announced the general availability of Amazon Aurora DSQL, a serverless distributed SQL database with key features:
- Virtually unlimited scale with zero infrastructure management
- 99.99% availability in single Region, 99.999% across multiple Regions
- Active-active distributed architecture with strong data consistency
- Support for single and multi-Region cluster configurations
- Easy creation through AWS Console with simple setup process
Key improvements since preview include enhanced console experience, PostgreSQL feature support, AWS service integrations, and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for improved developer productivity. The service is initially available in multiple US, Asian, and European Regions with a free tier offering.
