AWS Compute Optimizer has introduced support for Amazon Aurora I/O-Optimized recommendations for DB Cluster Storage, enabling users to make more informed decisions about storage configurations.
- Provides detailed cost comparisons between Aurora I/O-Optimized and Standard configurations
- Automatically analyzes 14 days of cluster storage and I/O costs
- Can extend analysis to 32 days for free, or up to 93 days with enhanced metrics
- Allows viewing of month-over-month I/O usage variations
- Available in most AWS Regions, excluding GovCloud and China Regions
The feature helps users increase pricing predictability and potentially achieve cost savings by recommending optimal Aurora storage configurations.
