AWS Compute Optimizer has expanded its capabilities to provide rightsizing recommendations for Amazon Aurora DB instances, helping organizations optimize database performance and reduce costs.
- Analyzes CloudWatch metrics like CPU utilization, network throughput, and database connections
- Supports Amazon Aurora MySQL and PostgreSQL-Compatible Edition engines
- Offers more detailed insights when Amazon RDS Performance Insights is enabled
- Helps identify idle database instances and recommend optimal DB instance classes
- Available in most AWS Regions, excluding GovCloud and China Regions
The new feature enables users to optimize database resource allocation, potentially reducing unnecessary spending and improving overall database performance.
