AWS Certificate Manager introduces public certificates you can use anywhere

AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) has introduced exportable public certificates that can be used on any workload requiring a TLS certificate, both within and outside AWS.
- Certificates can now be exported and used on EC2 instances, containers, and on-premises hosts
- Previously restricted to AWS integrated services like CloudFront
- Certificates are valid for 395 days
- Pricing is $15 per FQDN and $149 per wildcard name
- No bulk issuance contracts required
- IAM policies control certificate export permissions
- Available in all ACM regions, including GovCloud and China Regions
This feature provides more flexibility for network and security administrators to manage public certificates across diverse computing environments.
