Amazon Redshift Serverless has introduced a new 4 RPU Minimum Capacity Option, reducing the previous minimum base capacity requirement from 8 to 4 RPUs.
- Users can now start using Amazon Redshift Serverless for as low as $1.50 per hour
- Pay only for compute capacity consumed on a per-second basis
- Supports data warehouses up to 32 TB of managed storage
- Ideal for production and development environments with minimal compute needs
- Offers maximum of 100 columns per table and 64 GB of memory
The feature is generally available in multiple AWS Regions across the US, Asia Pacific, and Europe, making it more accessible for organizations with varying data warehouse requirements.
