Amazon Aurora has added support for new PostgreSQL versions, including releases 17.5, 16.9, 15.13, 14.18, and 13.21.
- Includes PostgreSQL community product improvements and bug fixes
- Introduces Aurora-specific enhancements
- Features read replica optimizations to reduce upgrade downtime
- Adds new features for Babelfish
- Provides security improvements
Users can create new Aurora PostgreSQL-compatible databases or upgrade existing ones through the Amazon RDS Management Console. The new versions are available in all commercial AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions.
