Amazon Keyspaces (for Apache Cassandra) now supports Change Data Capture (CDC) Streams
News
Amazon Keyspaces has introduced Change Data Capture (CDC) streams, a new feature that captures row-level changes in tables in near-real time.
- Captures insert, update, and delete operations as change events
- Delivers events in order with automatic deduplication
- Enables event-driven applications like data analytics, ML training, and backups
- Retains data for up to 24 hours
- Scales automatically without infrastructure management
- No impact on table compute or storage capacity
Users can consume CDC stream records using the Keyspaces Data Streams API or Kinesis Client Library. The feature is available in all AWS Commercial and GovCloud (US) Regions where Amazon Keyspaces is supported.
