AWS launches Space Accelerator program across Australia, India, and Japan

AWS has launched the AWS Space Accelerator: APJ 2025, a 10-week program designed to support space technology startups across Australia, India, Japan, and New Zealand.
- Up to 40 startups will receive AWS credits, technical guidance, and business mentorship
- Program focuses on three key space technology areas:
- Earth observation and remote sensing
- Space infrastructure manufacturing and launch
- Drone technology
- Supports rapidly growing space economies in the region:
- Japan's space economy projected to reach $52 billion by early 2030s
- India's space industry expected to grow from $8 billion to $44 billion by 2033
- Collaborative effort with space agencies and industry partners like T-Hub, Minfy, and Ansys
- Aims to reduce startup risks by enabling cost-effective technology development and testing
The accelerator will run from September to December 2025, culminating in a demo day where startups showcase their innovative solutions.
