Introducing Oracle Database@AWS for simplified Oracle Exadata migrations to the AWS Cloud

AWS has announced the general availability of Oracle Database@AWS, a new offering that simplifies Oracle Exadata migrations to the AWS Cloud. This service provides a streamlined approach for customers to move their Oracle database workloads to AWS.

  • Available in U.S. East (N. Virginia) and U.S. West (Oregon) regions
  • Offers two key services: Oracle Exadata Database Service and Oracle Autonomous Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure
  • Provides zero-ETL integration with Amazon Redshift and Amazon S3 backups
  • Integrates with AWS services like VPC Lattice, IAM, EventBridge, and CloudWatch
  • Supports Bring Your Own License (BYOL) and offers single invoicing through AWS Marketplace

The service aims to simplify Oracle database migrations, offering customers more flexibility and easier management of their database infrastructure in the AWS Cloud.
