Integrating Amazon OpenSearch Ingestion with Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora

Big Data Blog

AWS has announced the general availability of Amazon OpenSearch Ingestion integration with Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora, enabling near real-time data synchronization and advanced search capabilities.

  • Eliminates complex data pipelines between relational databases and search engines
  • Supports Aurora MySQL, RDS MySQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, and RDS PostgreSQL
  • Uses change data capture (CDC) streams for real-time data replication
  • Automatically handles data mapping between database and OpenSearch
  • Enables advanced search features like hybrid search, ranked results, and faceted search

The integration simplifies database-to-search synchronization, reduces operational overhead, and provides low-latency search capabilities without complex ETL processes.
