Amazon ElastiCache has announced Extended Support for Redis OSS versions 4 and 5, providing customers with additional time to manage version upgrades.
- Standard support for these versions ends January 31, 2026
- Automatically enrolled clusters will receive critical security updates and defect fixes
- Available in all AWS Regions, including GovCloud and China Regions
- Extended Support charges start no earlier than February 1, 2026
- Amazon recommends upgrading to the latest ElastiCache for Valkey version
