Amazon has introduced tag support for S3 Access Points with Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), enhancing data access management for shared datasets.
- Enables adding tags to S3 Access Points for more flexible permissions
- Extends tag-based permissions to new and existing users, roles, and access points
- Eliminates frequent policy updates for access management
- Simplifies scaling access governance for shared datasets
- Available in all AWS Regions at no additional cost
Users can implement this feature using AWS Management Console, S3 REST API, AWS CLI, or AWS SDK, providing more dynamic and efficient access control.
