News

AWS IoT Core has introduced the new DeleteConnection API to help developers manage MQTT client connections more effectively.

  • Allows programmatic disconnection of MQTT clients using client IDs
  • Provides options to clear persistent sessions
  • Can suppress Last Will and Testament message publication
  • Generates lifecycle events for enhanced connection state visibility
  • Useful for redirecting devices, troubleshooting, and managing device behavior

The API is now available in all AWS Regions that support AWS IoT Core, offering developers more granular control over device connectivity.
